Dr. Jonathan Kramer is the founder of Telecom Realty Corporation. He is also the founder of Telecom Law Firm PC where he served as its first Managing Partner from November, 2006 to July 1, 2019.
Jonathan was a telecommunications engineer working for private corporation, and then in 1984 working for local governments throughout the U.S. before before becoming a telecom-practice lawyer in California and New Mexico. Still later, as a natural follow-on to his telecom practice, Dr. Kramer added this real estate to his portfolio of activities and client benefits.
He has been a testifying expert witness and trial consultant in over 45 federal and state court cases regarding wireless and cable television technology. His testimony has been on behalf of governments, private and public entities, but not on behalf of wireless or cable providers.
With extensive experience in telecom property management and cell site leasing and enforcement actions, Dr. Kramer formed Telecom Realty Corporation to more closely and efficiently focus on the month-to-month and year-to-year property management needs of his private and government telecom site owners who do not need to engage lawyers for every cell site lease activity. (Telecom Realty Corp. does not accept telecom providers such as T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Crown Castle, American Tower, etc. as clients.)
A frequent lecturer and panelist on communications leasing, sales, technology, and regulation at government and wireless industry conferences and teaching events, he is also the co-author and editor of articles regarding cell site leasing, lease sales, lease enforcement, and government regulation of radio frequency interference matters and wireless technology.
A real estate broker licensed by the California Department of Real Estate, Dr. Kramer is also admitted to practice by the State Bar of California and the State Bar of New Mexico.
Jonathan holds seven Federal Communications Commission licenses and endorsements, as well as a C7 communications contractors license issued by the California Contractor’s State License Board. Jonathan is also an FAA certificated remote pilot for unmanned aircraft systems, which we use to monitor client leased sites to wireless providers. He is also a Senior Emeritus Emeritus member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (US Society), a Fellow member of the Society of Telecommunication Engineers (UK/EU Society); and a Senior Member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
Dr. Kramer, who continued his legal education after earning his JD cum laude, holds a Masters of Law degree in information technology and telecommunications law (with honors) from Strathclyde University (Glasgow, Scotland), and a Doctor of Law and Policy degree from Northeastern University (Boston, Mass.).
In addition to his regular work, for years Dr. Kramer has taught regulatory law and policy courses at the masters and doctoral levels at Northeastern University through its Boston and Seattle campuses.
